WHEN DID WE GO FROM “WHO YOU FIGHTING NEXT?” TO “WHAT DID HE TWEET NEXT?!” Man, boxing done turned into As the Timeline Turns! Every morning I wake up, somebody wants the smoke. Somebody says somebody’s ducking. Somebody says, “Send the contract!” Somebody else says, “Know your worth!” Then another fighter jumps in talking about, “I’m the A-side!” Okay... WHEN Y’ALL FIGHTING?! Because according to the official TRU Media scoreboard, we got: Twitter Fights: 247! Actual Boxing Fights: TWO! And before somebody gets emotional—that’s a joke! But boxing fans know exactly what I’m talking about. These fighters are undefeated on Twitter! They got combinations on Twitter. Counterpunching on Twitter. Defense on Twitter. They slipping tweets, blocking accounts, throwing verbal uppercuts and going twelve rounds in the comment section! Meanwhile, that boxing ring is sitting there like an abandoned house. HELLO?! ANYBODY COMING TO WORK?! And here’s the serious part: inactivity matters. Your prime doesn’t last forever. Timing, reflexes, conditioning, momentum, fan interest—those things matter. You can’t spend six months, nine months, twelve months arguing about who’s scared, who’s the A-side, who needs a rehydration clause, and who deserves another three million dollars. At some point, somebody has to FIGHT! And I’m not blaming every American fighter. Boxing politics are real. Promoters matter. Networks matter. Money matters. Opponents matter. But fans don’t want to hear excuses forever. We want rivalries settled where boxing rivalries are supposed to be settled: INSIDE THE RING!
