We begin our day in the heart of Zahleh, with a warm and simple breakfast at Kadri Hotel Zahleh, a place that carries its own story and charm. A quiet moment before the journey unfolds. From there, we cross the breathtaking heights of Dahr el Baydar, where the road is covered in snow and the landscape opens into a winter scene of silence and beauty. A reminder of Lebanon’s changing faces, from valley warmth to mountain cold. Our next stop brings us to Chartoun, where we enjoy an authentic and generous breakfast at Saj Em Farouq. A moment of sharing, flavors, and tradition, rooted in the simplicity of village life. The journey then leads us to the hidden gem of Ain Trez, a historic mountain village where heritage and spirituality intertwine. Here, time seems to slow down. Among its treasures stands the legendary Sindiyanet Ain Trez, one of the oldest oak trees in the Mediterranean, a living witness of centuries, deeply rooted in the land and in the memory of the village. We also discover the Melkite Greek Catholic Patriarchal Summer Residence, a place of spiritual significance and history, along with the peaceful Ain Trez Church, the elegant Al Saad Heritage Palace, and traces of traditional life through its old silk factory, echoing a time when craftsmanship shaped the identity of the region.
