MAKO Renderer descends from an earlier LSFG-VK 2.0 development branch which was forked into LSFG-VK Experimental before later continuing as MAKO. It has since developed its own features and changes such as Adaptive FG & Spatial Scaling, with MAKO also openly making extensive use of AI coding agents throughout its development. Both projects still share earlier LSFG-VK 2.0 ancestry.
