When I first started exploring African Fashion Brands as part of tiktok content (see tiktok link in channel description), I discovered we have so many untold stories of how our fashion and textiles came to be. This is one of them. This textile is seen in almost every African country, or if not, its motifs are continuing to be associated with our continent. It interested me how it's called "African print" but never really took the time to understand where it came from. and so I started digging. This short film is the result of that. The truth, the stories of our identity. How our ancestors built narratives that tell tales of our ability to transform anything into our own.
