In this part of our Surah Al-Isra series, we move from the miracle of the night journey into something that hits closer to home than most of us realize. Allah ﷻ gave the Children of Israel His Book. He gave them guidance, prophets, and blessings beyond measure. And yet — power became arrogance. Blessing became pride. And the warnings Allah ﷻ had written in their own scripture came to pass — exactly as He said they would. This is not just their story. The Prophet ﷺ told us: everything that happened to Bani Israel will happen to this Ummah — just like one shoe resembles the other. So the question is not whether we are reading history.
