I do occasionally surprise myself with how fast it's possible to get some of these miniatures ready for the table, especially if you're ready to forego every lace, strap, or bit of fabric having to be a different colour just for the sake of it. One thing I forgot to mention would be to apply any decals on their shoulders or similar before varnishing - I just lost my 101st Airborne sheet, so... we have to imagine!
