My Surgery Story | Cholecystectomy | Rest in Peace my Gallbladder

Last week I went through cholecystectomy - a surgical procedure to remove the gallbladder. A month prior I was rushed to ER due to severe stomach pain and through the ultrasound, a growing polyp was seen in my gallbladder. It was 8mm big and I was given two options by the doctor: 1) wait and observe in 6 months and if grows, have it removed or, 2) I have it removed right away regardless if it's posing serious issue or not. My husband and I didn't want to wait for the worst possible scenario so we decided to have it gone and done right away.
