How Far Can Foldable Phones Actually Go?

Apple has finally made a folding iPhone. Samsung has a phone that folds twice. Rollable screens are already real in laptops. So where does all of this go next? I look at whether foldables are becoming pocket tablets, what still needs to improve, and why the future may be about carrying fewer devices—not simply adding more folds.
