Tugging at the heart strings of older customers who remember the originals. The 4 is looking to create the same reaction as the 5, but offer a more comfortable and practical vehicle without sacrificing the fun factor. 5 trim levels are available with the Renault 4. Evolution+, Techno+, Techno+ Plein Sud, Iconic+ and the Iconic+ Plein Sud. Powering the 4 is a 52kWh battery with a single motor at the front wheels. A smaller 37 kWh battery is available in other markets, but not here as of yet. Performance wise, you get 148 bhp, 245 Nm with a 0 - 62 mph in 8.2s. Range is up to 247 miles. The performance and range does make the 4 feel like a town car, rather than a long range cruiser. Charging is decent with 100kW DC charging taking 33 mins to go from 10-80%. Practicality is a highlight with a 375L boot (unfortunately there’s no frunk) but the boot opening is very tall and the boot level is very low.
