But behind this modern city lies a rich history and heritage. On my previous day, I visited the Dubai Museum from outside. But today, on 2 April 2014, I decided to enter the museum and explore its galleries from inside. And after discovering the history of old Dubai, my journey would take me from the earth to the sky—all the way to the observation deck of the world-famous Burj Khalifa. From the traditional life of Dubai to breathtaking views from the top of the world’s tallest building, this day was going to be one of the most memorable days of my Dubai Journey 2014. So, let’s begin Day 4 of My Dubai Journey 2014 — 2 April 2014! In this vlog, I explore the historic and modern sides of Dubai. My day begins from Dubai Nova Hotel, followed by a complete inside visit to Dubai Museum at Al Fahidi Fort. After purchasing the entrance ticket, I explore the museum’s traditional galleries, old Dubai lifestyle, pearl-diving history, fishing activities, Bedouin culture, traditional houses, wind towers, boats and historical artefacts. After the museum visit, I travel by Dubai Metro from Al Fahidi Metro Station towards Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall. At Dubai Mall, I explore the Burj Khalifa display area and then take the lift from the ground level to At The Top, Burj Khalifa. From the observation deck, I enjoy: Panoramic views of Dubai Dubai’s modern skyline Dubai Mall surroundings Light and music fountain show Beautiful Dubai night view Fountain show again from the top of Burj Khalifa Finally, I return by lift to Dubai Mall, take the Metro back towards Al Fahidi and return to Dubai Nova Hotel. This day was a beautiful journey from Dubai’s historical heritage to its modern skyline. I began my day by entering and exploring the historic Dubai Museum inside Al Fahidi Fort. There, I discovered the traditional lifestyle of Dubai, including its fishing, pearl diving, desert life, old houses, traditional boats and cultural heritage. After that, I travelled by Metro to Dubai Mall and experienced the amazing Burj Khalifa display area. Then came the most exciting moment of the day—travelling from the earth to the sky by lift and reaching At The Top, Burj Khalifa. From there, I enjoyed the panoramic view of Dubai, watched the light and music fountain show, and witnessed the beautiful night view of the city. Finally, I returned to Dubai Mall, travelled back by Metro to Al Fahidi and reached Dubai Nova Hotel. This day showed me two beautiful faces of Dubai— the historic Dubai of the past and the modern Dubai of the future. This was My Dubai Journey 2014 — Day 4, 2 April 2014.
