Call His Name (Afternoon Service)

“Call His Name” is a joyful Black gospel church anthem built around the names, attributes, and teachings of Jesus. Through a soulful lead, responsive choir, Hammond organ, gospel piano, live rhythm section, and an escalating congregational vamp, the song moves from Christ’s “I AM” declarations to the practical call to pray, love, forgive, serve, and persevere. Written in collaboration with Deacon Lewis C. Hill Sr., it reminds listeners that through every season—grief, uncertainty, healing, struggle, or celebration—we can call the name of Jesus.
