Our Family Home Movies | New Jersey, 1968–1977

Before we knew these would become memories. These are our family home movies, filmed mostly by my grandfather, Tony Sammartano, in New Jersey between 1968 and 1977. What began as ordinary moments — family gatherings, birthdays, weddings, Christmases, playing outside, and growing up — became something quite different with the passage of time. Nearly 50 years later, these little pieces of everyday life are a window into a family and a time that are gone, but not forgotten. I compiled and edited this footage in 2026 and added an original soundtrack of my own music. The music was selected to accompany the images and, hopefully, let the footage breathe without overwhelming it. I hope you enjoy stepping back in time with us.
