🏍️ Sunday Ride to Dategad Fort | 3 Bikes, 4 Friends, Rain, Windmills & Sunset 🌧️🌄
It was Sunday, and we had planned an exciting bike ride to Dategad Fort near Satara. The plan was simple — ride, explore, enjoy the rain, capture some amazing views, and make some unforgettable memories ❤️
My day started early at 5:30 AM. After getting ready, I met my friends, and at 6:40 AM, we started our journey. There were 4 friends and 3 bikes, and throughout the ride, we made sure to follow safety rules. We kept our speed below 90 km/h and wore proper riding jackets, helmets, and riding shoes. Safety first 🪖🏍️
🍳 Breakfast Stop — 9:20 AM
At around 9:20 AM, we stopped for breakfast at Banana Leaf Restaurant. The food was really tasty, and it was the perfect break before continuing our long ride.
At 10:00 AM, we started riding again. From there, we had around 93 km to go. The road was beautiful, with rain, greenery, and scenic mountain views all around us. Riding through that weather was honestly one of the best parts of the journey. 🌧️🌿
🏰 Dategad Fort — 1:25 PM
Finally, at around 1:25 PM, we reached Dategad Fort.
Dategad is a small historic fort located about 75 km south of Satara in Maharashtra. The fort is surrounded by beautiful natural scenery, making the journey and exploration just as enjoyable as the destination itself.
We explored the fort and climbed up to see the incredible views. One of the most interesting things we saw was the sword-shaped structure at the top of the fort. It was my first time seeing this place, and the view from the top was absolutely amazing🤩🏰
🌬️ Windmills & Sunset
At around 3:30 PM, we left the fort and headed toward our next location — the windmills.
This place was another highlight of the trip. We flew the drone and captured some beautiful cinematic shots of the windmills, mountains, greenery, and sunset. 🌄🚁
The combination of nature, windmills, and the evening sunlight made the whole scene look incredible.
☕ Journey Back Home
After enjoying the sunset, we started our ride back home.
At around 7:00 PM, we stopped for a coffee break and relaxed for a while. Later, at around 8:30 PM, we stopped for dinner. The restaurant was good, and the total bill was ₹1,350 for 4 people, which was pretty reasonable. 🍽️
After dinner, we still had around 90 km to ride before reaching home.
Finally, at around 11:30 PM, we reached home safely. 🏠❤️
It was a long day, but definitely a memorable one — beautiful roads, rain, fort exploration, windmills, drone shots, sunset, good food, and an amazing ride with friends.
Thank you for watching and being part of this journey ❤️
