S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 - Heart of Chornobyl (2.0) #1,740: Into The Wild

I was at the main gate of the Duty base at the Cement Factory, standing on the roof and looking at things through my binoculars, with visibility limited by the light fog in the countryside. I watched a Loner in a trench coat leave out the gate, going south along the road, making me think how dangerous and foolish it was to be going out alone. I watched him disappear going down the road near the Reloading Point, as I watched a Duty patrol go west towards the lake. I got down off the roof and got on the road going south, wondering if I could catch up with the Loner. I passed the Reloading Point, and it was not until I got to the bus stop that I saw the trench coat Loner still going south. I caught up with him just outside the Cage and I stopped to get to know him, with his conversation complaining about the Freedom Faction. I thought that might explain why I found him operating out of the Duty base, as I continued to follow him, not really sure of where he was going. We went up the hillside of the corner of the perimeter wall of the Cage. We went south across the road, and I soon realized that we were not going to the Machine Tractor Station, but into the fields where there was a field with abandoned radioactive vehicles among anomalies. The Loner went on alert and soon we were fighting jumping waves of tushkano jumping everywhere, as I was blasting them as fast as I could with my shotgun. After fighting them off, I went over to the vehicles seeing that there were large piles of cut logs and then we came under attack by Bandits to the east. I shot at a Bandit that ran into the woods, when some Loners came from up the hill and we were overrun by another wave of Tushkano that we had to fight. I found the bandit and a dead Loner to loot and the two Loners that I were with now, were attacked again by several Bandits. I had to fight the Bandits one at a time, as the woods were very thick and when it was finally over, I found myself alone. I looted the three Bandits I had killed, where I also found the two Loners I had just been with, had been killed. I looted everyone and then went back east to the trailer on the hill that was overlooking the Machine Tractor Station. I saw a single Bandit at the two-story building below, that I exchanged gunfire with him briefly, until he fell. I went down to the building, where I found a couple of dead Dutyers and three dead Bandits that I looted. I went to the nearby building, with, with my stash on the roof, unloading the weapons of ammo, and leaving excess food, drink and otehr supplies. It was still foggy with light rain, as I took the road going west and then up the hillside towards the Cage, where I met a three-man Duty patrol and then I ran into another patrol that I helped fight some mutant dogs. I returned to the Cement Factory and process all the loot, then going back outside across the bridge where I met some Loners at the canal and started following two Dutyers at the Burning Fire Depot.
