Frustrated and furious, the son threatens his father, warning him to arrange the marriage or face the consequences. The father initially dismisses the threat but eventually realizes he might be making a mistake and decides to go ahead with the wedding. He invites the bride's family and calls his son home. Overjoyed, the son rushes home, leaping across rooftops in his excitement; however, in his haste, he miscalculates a jump, falls, and dies. Enraged at having died unmarried, his spirit vows revenge and begins haunting and tormenting his father at night. The father summons a Pandit (priest), who advises him to build a shrine for the son in Chandigarh and perform rituals. The spirit makes a series of increasingly absurd demands; fulfilling them leaves the father completely exasperated, and he eventually refuses to do anything more. In retaliation, the son's spirit begins to strangle him. Just as he screams while struggling to escape, his wife wakes him up. He realizes it was all a dream, but he takes it seriously and decides his son must get married immediately. Unable to find a human bride on such short notice, he marries his son off to a goat. Everyone discovers the truth only after the ceremony is complete and is left in shock. The story unfolds with plenty of comedy and drama, though it is entirely fictional and bears no relation to real life. ...has no connection [to real events], and no harm of any kind was caused to any of the characters or animals shown in it during the filming.
