Rare clip of the legendary Nautanki actor-singer and Guru Pandit ram Dayal Sharma singing a chaubola for television in the early 1980s (if I remember correctly it was 1983). This is an example of quality powerful Nautanki singing. Unfortunately these days anything goes in the name Nautanki, and many substandard singers are posting videos on YouTube which are extremely poorly sung, and give a bad name to the great operatic form of Nautanki. This is a clip of the genuine master. Also on Nakkara Ustaad Attan Khan, who was one of the greatest Nakkara players ever in Nautanki. On Dholak is another master Idris Khan. Please keep the volume high as this is an old clip, and the audio is rather low. Enjoy!
