#SimiValley #BottleVillage #GrandmaPrisbrey Join us on a tour of Grandma Prisbrey's Bottle Village in Simi Valley California. Grandma (Tressa) Prisbrey started to build this folk art masterpiece when she was in her sixties. Some called it junk. Many appreciate it as a wonder of art. Some of the dolls even made it on the cover of a recording by “Wall of Voodoo.” From her pencil art beginnings, to her magnificent Round House, see what still remains of this unique construction. Another adventure from “The Places Where We Go” This California Historical Landmark is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The site is located at 4595 Cochran Street, Simi Valley, California. 0:00 Introduction 0:37 Who is Grandma Prisbrey & beginnings of Bottle Village 2:12 Mosaic pathways 4:50 Creepy dolls 7:41 Spring garden 9:37 Round house & pencil collection 12:04 Kathi Hofer, author of "Grandma Prisbrey's Bottle Village" 13:05 Visiting Bottle Village in Simi Valley READ about Grandma Prisbrey and her creation: https://lasso.to/amazon/siw6tzoSeH/5E...
