BMW X5 Water Pump & Thermostat Replacement

The water broke on my 2014 X5 Xdrive50i, so this video goes through some of the diagnostics that led to the determination that the water pump ( 1 of 4 on this vehicle) had failed. This video also includes replacement of the thermostat, serpentine belt, and belt tensioner, as well as refilling the coolant and using the BMW electronic air bleeding procedure to eliminate air from the system. Although this video includes removal of plastics to get at the underlying parts, a more detailed video of this aspect of the procedure can be found in my video on replacing plugs and ignition coils.
