A termite mound is a great place for lions to play

As the light was improving in Botswana’s Linyanti we found this pride of lions.Most of the pride could be found in the surrounding bushes, a few lionesses and cubs could not resist the temptation to sit atop of the mound taking in the morning sun. The cubs were charging around having a great time often causing the lionesses to push them away. A termite mound is a great place for lions to play and an excellent setting to watch these big cats.
