In this video, I explain that Stress Points (Training Stress Score©) is a measure of the physiological stress of a ride taking into account the weighted average power (Net Power©), intensity ratio (Intensity Factor©) and the ride duration. The video shows in detail how each of these is calculated.
All of this assumed that you rode with a power meter, but I also include a table to estimate your ride Stress Points based upon your Rating of Perceived Exertion (RPE).
And finally, I show you where you can see your ride Stress Points on Zwift.
CORRECTION NOTE: At 04:25 in the video, I say that Net Power is calculated first by taking the simple average of sequential, 30 second segments... In fact, it is calculated by first taking rolling, 30 second averages. The remainder of the calculation presented is still correct. And the overall concept presented showing how Net Power is calculated remains valid.
