Discover another side of Paris on this continuous walking tour through Bercy, from the modern architecture of the François-Mitterrand National Library to peaceful gardens, historic remains and the lively pedestrian streets of Bercy Village. Our walk begins between the four iconic book-shaped towers of the Bibliothèque nationale de France, before crossing the Seine via the Simone de Beauvoir footbridge, with views over the river and the surrounding architecture. On the other side, we enter Parc de Bercy, where green spaces meet everyday Parisian life. We pass the Bercy bus station and an outdoor street workout area, where locals can exercise in the open air. The walk continues into the Jardin Yitzhak Rabin, with its fountains, ponds, small bridges, birds and tree-lined paths. We also pass the Maison du Jardinage, a place dedicated to gardening and composting, before exploring more of the park's peaceful landscapes. Crossing above Rue Joseph Kessel, we reach Rue François Truffaut and Passage Saint-Vivant, leading us into Bercy Village. Once part of Paris's historic wine-trading district, its former wine warehouses now house shops, cafés, restaurants and a cinema. The pedestrian streets offer a different atmosphere, with people shopping, relaxing and enjoying the neighborhood. We then return to Parc de Bercy through another entrance, discovering elevated views over the gardens, quiet paths and historic stone remains associated with the 18th-century Petit Château de Bercy. Our walk ends near Rue Joseph Kessel, after exploring the contrast between modern architecture, riverside scenery, outdoor activities, nature, local life and traces of Parisian history. Whether you're planning a visit to Paris, looking to discover a neighborhood before arriving, or simply enjoying a peaceful walk from home, this video lets you explore Bercy at street level, at a natural walking pace. 📍 Paris, France — 12th & 13th Arrondissements 📅 Friday, October 16, 2026 🕑 1:51 PM 🌡️ Approximately 20°C 🚶 Walking distance: 2.1 km ⏱️ Duration: approximately 28 min 30 sec 🗺️ ROUTE & CHAPTERS 00:00 Walking Route Overview 00:16 Bibliothèque François-Mitterrand 02:09 Simone de Beauvoir Footbridge 07:00 Parc de Bercy 08:39 Bercy Bus Station & Street Workout 10:02 Jardin Yitzhak Rabin 11:16 Maison du Jardinage 14:07 Crossing Above Rue Joseph Kessel 18:09 Rue François Truffaut 18:30 Passage Saint-Vivant & Bercy Village 24:26 Returning to Parc de Bercy 24:43 Elevated View of the Gardens 27:24 Historic Stone Ruins in Parc de Bercy 28:13 Rue Joseph Kessel 🎧 No narration.
