Mr. Christmas Carousel - Repair(How to?)

In this video you'll see how I fixed this old Mr. Christmas Carousel my wife found in a estate sale. This is at least 20 years old, it was playing music and lights but no movement. You could hear the little motor working but nothing else. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO OPEN FROM THE BOTTOM. I thought it was the way and wasted time, but now i know and now you do! Enjoy!
