I'm metal detecting in Carlisle, Indiana, a historic town established in 1815 — before Indiana became a state. I start this hunt detecting my own yard, where I've found some pretty interesting old items, before wrapping up the first day. The next day, I move over to a neighbor's yard to see what might still be hiding beneath the ground there.
