We Skipped the Grand Anniversary Trip for a Tiny Colorado Town

They call Ouray, Colorado, the Switzerland of America. After spending time there, we understand why! For our 15th wedding anniversary, we explored this remarkable little mountain town in the San Juan Mountains. From historic buildings and quirky shops to mountain trails, waterfalls, hot springs, and some of the friendliest people we've encountered, Ouray had plenty of surprises waiting for us. We also discovered a restaurant that served one of the best meals I've ever eaten: grilled venison prepared to perfection. But not everything went according to plan.
