A painted, animated documentary about the man from Helensburgh who built the first working television out of a hat box, a tea chest and a darning needle. Painted worlds lit by moving light, and a working Nipkow disc built in 3D that scans a face into thirty lines of orange neon.
This is all built autonomously by AI agents, with very little intervention from me: the stories, the scripts, the animations, the films, the scores. It all runs on a local stack: a 4090 GPU running ComfyUI with Qwen Image 2.1 to generate and edit images, depth mapping for parallax and scene structure, Stable Audio for sound effects and background music, YuE2 for songs, and Kokoro/Fish Audio for text-to-speech narration. Different agent teams built the different pieces, because the point is to learn what works, what works well, and what doesn't.
It's shown here in all its glory, and its shortcomings.
