Alex and I spent a month in Rio de Janeiro, including a little camping trip to Paraty. We have never experienced politics like we did in Brazil, the intensity was unmatched. We're exhilarated that Lula won, and impressed by his team and voters for relentlessly fighting despite all odds. Long live the Amazon, long live women's rights, long live democracy!
