Groove 4 Slow - Tommy Igoe's Groove Essentials 1.0

On to Groove 4 Slow. Another straight forward tune with a 16-bar form but this time the main groove introduces some hi-hat barks. There is also a simple but cool rhythmic lick that happens every four bars that invites for some accenting. The drum set I am playing is a 1967 Ludwig Super Classic 13/16/22. Snare drum is a Ludwig LM402 (14x6.5). 13" Zildjian K Hats, 20" Paiste Giant Beat on my left, 22" Sabian Legacy Ride (with Meinl's Cymbal Bacon) on my right. I used five microphones. Two Warm Audio WA251s as Glyn Johns style overheads, a Shure Beta 52a just inside the BD port hole, a Neumann TLM102 about 1.5 feet centered in front of the BD resonant head, and a Shure SM7B on the snare drum. As always, thanks for watching! #grooveessentials #tommyigoe #drums #drummer #drummer #drumeo #drumming #drumlessons #drumteacher #drumtechnique #schlagzeugschule #schlagzeug #schlagzeuglernenanfänger #learndrumming #learndrums #music
