TORNADO IN LICH (19. August 2026)

Am 19. August 2026 zog eine tornadische Superzelle von Belgien quer über Deutschland hinweg und produzierte mehrere (bisher) bestätigte Tornados, die teilweise große Zerstörung brachten. Einen kurzlebigen Tornado gab es unter anderem im Mittelhessischen Lich, wo mehrere Scheunen beschädigt bzw. zerstört wurden. Clips und Zeitraffer der Superzelle sowie die Bildung des Tornados konnten wir gut dokumentieren. On August 19, 2026, a long-lived supercell storm ravaged its way from Belgium through central Germany, dropping multiple confirmed and damaging tornados in its path. A short-lived tornado also occured in Lich, Hesse, where we could document both the supercell with clips and timelapses, as well as the formation of the tornado that damaged and destroyed some farm buildings next to town.
