America is about to be hit by severe storms, flooding rain, and a sudden freeze. In this video, we break down the big weather change coming this week, from record October heat to a cold blast, with the first freeze and the first snowflakes of the season. Moisture from Hurricane Simon and Tropical Storm Rachel is feeding a powerful upper level low. It will bring severe thunderstorms, large hail, damaging winds, and tornado risk to the Plains and Midwest on Tuesday and Wednesday. Flash flooding is also a real danger, with some models showing 6 to 8 inches of rain in parts of Oklahoma and Kansas. Then a second storm drops out of Canada and merges with the first. That sets up a windy Friday and a sharp cold front. St. Louis could fall from about 92 degrees to a high of 59 in just three days. In this video: Severe weather forecast for Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri, and New York Flash flood risk and the “turn around, don’t drown” safety rule How the two storms merge into one big storm First freeze and first snow forecast for the Midwest, Great Lakes, and Northeast What may come after this storm Like the video and subscribe for more weather forecasts, extreme weather updates, and natural disaster explainers. #severeweather #weatherforecast #flashflood #tornado #coldfront #firstfreeze #firstsnow #HurricaneSimon #storm #weatherupdate
