Spirit Of Nature by Nicola Conte, from the 2014 album 'Free Souls' Nicola Conte’s Spirit Of Nature channels a lush blend of bossa nova and Latin jazz textures, anchored by the warm pulse of double bass and the subtle, conversational interplay of alto saxophones courtesy of Gaetano Partipilo, Greg Osby, and Logan Richardson. The layered percussion from Liviana Ferri and Pierpaolo Bisogno adds a delicate rhythmic vitality, while Timo Lassy’s baritone saxophone and flute colours the soundscape with rich, woody tones that ripple through the arrangement. Recorded for Schema and issued on vinyl, this track reflects Conte’s signature fusion of Italian cinematic melodies with contemporary jazz sensibilities. This 2014 release from Free Souls invites listeners into a sophisticated yet relaxed groove that is equally suited for thoughtful listening or late-night sets. The intricate musicianship and seamless integration of Latin jazz elements underscore why Conte remains a respected figure among DJs and crate-diggers who appreciate nuanced, genre-blurring productions. Its presence in collector circles confirms its appeal beyond the casual sphere, a record prized for both its sonic detail and its tactile analog presentation.
