About the dancer Lalitha Narasimhan is a disciple of Kalaimamani Dr. Lakshmi Rasmaswamy, Founder and Director, Sri Mudhraalaya. Under the continuous guidance of her guru she has been continuously performing in solo and group performances during Margazhi Dance Festivals every year in many prestigious sabhas like Karthik Fine Arts, Krishna Gana Sabha, Brahma Gana Sabha, Thyaga Brahma Gana Sabha, Rasika Ranjini Sabha, Parthasarathy Swamy Sabha, Mylapore Fine Arts club, Madhurai Tamizh Sangam. With her guru's support she has also participated in most of the productions of Sri Mudhraalaya. Lalitha is a "B" grade artist of Doordharshan. Under the able guidance of her Guru she has completed her Masters degree in Bharatanatyam in University of Madras. Hoping to pursue her higher studies in Bharatanatyam. Lalitha started to learn bharatanatyam at the age of 6 at Sri Saraswathi Gana Nilayam, Triplicane, Chennai under Guru Kalaimamani Smt. Ranganayaki Jayaraman and completed Arangetram in 1999. Since then she had been trying to learn more and upgrade in every possible way. She continued her training under Kalaimamani Smt. Padmalaksshme Suresh, Founder and Director, Padmalaya. She is currently continuing her training under Smt. Lakshmi Ramaswamy. With the blessings of almighty and her gurus, she is running her dance school Sree Lalitham School of Bharatanatyam at Triplicane. She is a Cost accountant ( CMA) and M.Sc Statistics Gold Medalist from University of Madras. She works in an MNC company in Chennai in Finance Dept. She has got interest in music and craft.
