Melting at Manningford 11th August 2026

With a break in the weather I needed to get out on the water. I'd heard that Manningford was fishing well with good water temperatures due to the river that flows through the lake. An early start saw me driving across the scorched Salisbury plain to arrive just as the fishery was opening. Suffice to say the day started well but conditions got tougher as the temperature increased. By 2.30 I'd had enough! On a cooler day I would have spent more time fishing the other half of the lake - I think it's deeper there?Hope you enjoy the video and let me know what you think.
