Marty's top 10 hit from 1974. Marty was widely regarded as the best non-professional driver on the Nascar circuit. Somewhat incongrous for a guy whom at one time would throw up at the thought of 'live' television yet would strap himself in the cockpit of a stock car that would hurtle round the track in excess of 180 miles an hour! That Marty was really good at it should come as no surprise because he was an outrageously gifted person. He had some bad smashes and injuries, but considered racing as no more dangerous than playing golf and to illustrate his point he said many people were killed by lightning playing golf.
