TITLE Art for Everyone? Decode the Museum's Message | AP French Reading Practice DESCRIPTION Does “free” mean you can just walk into a French museum activity? And who is the museum really trying to welcome? Decode an original French announcement with five AP-style reading comprehension questions. This practice format is up to date with the latest 2026-27 AP French Language and Culture curriculum revision (effective fall 2026), including the revised exam beginning in May 2027. Alignment checked against College Board guidance on October 11, 2026. Read the announcement across three clear text cards, then choose A, B, C or D. All five corrections come after the answer round, with evidence from the text and explanations of tempting wrong choices. The lesson, questions and feedback are entirely in French. You'll practise: • Identifying the intended audience and purpose of promotional material. • Understanding access conditions without making unsupported assumptions. • Interpreting a phrase in context. • Inferring what visitor participation reveals about a cultural project. HOW TO PRACTICE Take notes, pause to read, or return to the source cards using the chapters below. Score one point per correct answer, out of five. Then try the 40-second speaking bonus: is free admission enough to make a museum welcoming? Use a specific detail before comparing your answer with the model. What was your score out of five? Which question made you think the most? Tell us in the comments without sharing the answers. For an extra challenge, write one French sentence explaining what makes a museum welcoming. Subscribe to Little French Mysteries for AP French practice, short French mysteries, quizzes and grammar lessons.
