Originally released 2009 on limited CD-R and last reissued in 2019, debut album “Supplication” is a tense and disturbing work of Horror Ambient. A trance-inducing, highly personal melding of spiritual and mythic nightmare via haunting synth, ominous sound design, ghostly vocalisations and percussive solemnity. Now subject to a 2025 DMP CD/vinyl reissue - which includes reworked art by Chthonia – “Supplication” is crucial to the modern AKHLYS sound, its tortured dreamworld underpinning the occult Black Metal psychosis of subsequent records from the now fully-fledged band: 2015 modern classic "The Dreaming I", 2020’s unstoppable "Melinoë" and latest oneiric masterpiece, 2024’s “House of the Black Geminus”.
