Springfest 2026 highlights from River’s Edge Park in Council Bluffs, Iowa with Great American Kites & Events. This event recap features giant show kites, colorful sky displays, family-friendly moments, and one of the most unique waterfront festival settings on our 2026 schedule. We were honored to be part of the 2nd annual Springfest and help create an unforgettable weekend for local families, and event attendees. From the atmosphere along the riverfront to the giant kites filling the sky, Council Bluffs gave us an incredible start to the 2026 season. Day one we had the pleasure of flying in 25mph winds with gusts up to 38 mph; followed by day two with beautiful 15-26 mph winds with clear skies and a perfect 70 degrees! At Great American Kites & Events, our mission is to help communities create amazing memories and always have a reason to look up. Events like Springfest are exactly why we do what we do.
