How Edge Computing will change IoT Security

We look at use cases where this can be helpful, such as smart manufacturing and smart energy metering. I discuss the driving forces why edge computing in IoT will be necessary, but also which security threats we have to keep in mind. Finally, I will briefly describe some technologies that can help to build secure platforms for IoT edge computing, such as security kernels, trusted execution environments, mandatory policy enforcement, and crypto agility.
