Turning light into data: flow cytometry detection systems (Intro to Flow Cytometry - Episode 4)

Flow cytometry is a powerful technique for studying single cells. In this episode of our Introduction to Flow Cytometry series, I examine how the light signals from fluorochrome emission get translated into signals that the computer can process. This voltage pulse is the key to both capturing the fluorescence from your cells and for removing doublets and clumps.
