THE ANOINTING KILLS THE GIANTS IN YOUR LIFE | Vincent D. Maxwell

Sunday Service || September 20, 2026 There are giants that will try to stand between you and what God has called you to do—but the giant is not greater than the anointing God has placed upon your life. In this powerful sermon, “THE ANOINTING KILLS THE GIANTS IN YOUR LIFE,” Vincent D. Maxwell uses the biblical account of David and Goliath to reveal what happens when an ordinary person steps onto the battlefield under the anointing and authority of God. David did not defeat Goliath because he was bigger. He did not defeat him because he had better armor. He did not defeat him because he had greater military experience. David went against Goliath knowing that the battle belonged to the LORD. Before David ever faced the giant publicly, God had already been preparing and anointing him privately. That is important. The giant may see your size. The giant may see your weakness. The giant may see what you do not have. But the giant cannot see everything God has placed upon your life. Your anointing matters. Your preparation matters. Your faith matters. Your obedience matters. And when God is with you, what looks impossible in the natural can fall under the power and authority of God. Some giants come in the form of fear. Some come through intimidation. Some come through opposition. Some come through addiction, discouragement, financial pressure, family problems, spiritual warfare, or circumstances that appear too large to overcome. But you cannot measure the power of God by the size of the giant standing in front of you. 🔥 THE GIANT MAY BE BIG— BUT GOD IS BIGGER. David understood something the armies of Israel had forgotten: The battle belonged to the LORD. 1 Samuel 16–17 David, his anointing, and the defeat of Goliath ⏱️ SERMON CHAPTERS 00:00 — Opening & Preparing for the Message 01:25 — The Anointing Kills the Giants in Your Life 05:20 — Everybody Has Giants to Face 09:15 — David Was Anointed Before the Battle 13:40 — Don’t Let the Giant Intimidate You 18:05 — God Has Already Been Preparing You 22:30 — Remember What God Brought You Through Before 27:05 — You Don’t Need Somebody Else’s Armor 31:20 — Use What God Has Put in Your Hand 35:45 — The Battle Belongs to the LORD 40:05 — Stop Running From Your Giant 44:15 — The Giant Can Fall 47:50 — Walk in the Anointing God Gave You 49:05 — Final Exhortation & Closing 🔥 A WORD TO THE LISTENER Stop measuring yourself against the size of what is standing in front of you. David looked small compared with Goliath. But David was not standing there by himself. God was with him. The anointing was upon his life. And what appeared weak in the eyes of people became powerful when it was placed in the hands of someone who trusted God. You may be facing something today that looks enormous. You may have prayed about it. You may have cried about it. You may have wondered whether you have what it takes to overcome it. But your victory is not based merely on your natural ability. Your confidence must be in God. The same God who kept you before can keep you again. The same God who brought you through previous battles is still God in this battle. Do not forget what He has already done. David could remember the lion. David could remember the bear. So when Goliath appeared, David had evidence that God had already been faithful. 🔥 REMEMBER YOUR PREVIOUS VICTORIES. What has God already brought you through? What should have destroyed you—but didn’t? What battle looked impossible before God stepped in? Your past victories can strengthen your faith for your present battle. And do not make the mistake of trying to fight your battle wearing somebody else’s armor. You do not have to become somebody else for God to use you. Use what God gave you. Walk in the calling He gave you. Trust the anointing He placed upon your life. David had a sling. David had stones. But most importantly— DAVID HAD GOD. When you know who is with you, intimidation loses its power. 🔥 FACE THE GIANT. 🔥 TRUST GOD. 🔥 WALK IN FAITH. 🔥 USE WHAT GOD GAVE YOU. 🔥 REMEMBER THE BATTLE BELONGS TO THE LORD. That giant does not get the final word. God does. 👍 LIKE this video to help this message reach someone who is facing a giant right now. 💬 COMMENT below: “MY GIANT WILL FALL.” 📲 SHARE this sermon with someone who needs encouragement to stop running from what God has given them the power and faith to confront. 🔔 SUBSCRIBE and turn on notifications for more sermons, Bible teaching, prophetic preaching, and the uncompromised Word of God.
