Recently found this old footage of our first guru, Lewisham Sivan Temple Othuvar Sami Thandapani (circa 2006 - Shree Ghanapathy Temple, London) Pannisai is the one of the earliest forms of music, dating back to the Sangam period, with surviving literary works from around 300 CE. The splendour of music and lyrical depth in Pannisai is invaluable, and we are fortunate to have this available to us today. The richness of the art form has been brought out so beautifully by Othuvar Sami Thandapani
