Newmarket's NEW Electric Buses

Since June 2020, York Region Transit (YRT) has been trialling 6 electric buses, running on routes 44 Bristol and 55 Davis Drive. Made by New Flyer Industries and Nova Bus, these electric buses run on routes to and from Newmarket Terminal, which features an on-route charging station. We take a quick look at these vehicles, as well as quick ride-a-long, to see how they differ from regular diesel transit buses.
