POST FOR CHANGE - TRIP TO KOLKATA WITH UNICEF INDIA

BEGINNING OF A NEW JOURNEY It all started with the way our parents raised us. Oleg and I both grew up in very different parts of the world ..but yet instilled with the idea of giving back and leaving this world a little better than we found it. Everything from our career choices to life decisions, our education and love story, they all aligned towards that ultimate goal of doing your bit of giving. ❤️ Since this influencer journey started I have witnessed a jet set, luxurious life I couldn’t even have imagined as 14 year old high school student in Ooty. Yet, I would often go to bed feeling there was something lacking. I almost felt selfish to be accepting all these bounties of life or guilty to be taking so much instead of giving, while there are women in my own country that cannot even dream of basic rights like safety, education, or the freedom to be who they want to be. 🙏🏼 A year ago, on a luxurious brand trip I got an idea. The idea of doing the exact same, organizing a trip with wonderfully successful and influential influencers but then not for profit, but for good. To post for change. In other words, a way to harness the indisputable and ever-growing influence of social media and then utilize it for social change. At first I thought of doing everything ourselves, from the promotion to the projects itself with no partner organizations or any kind of assistance as I figured it would have bigger impact. But that is where my darling husband came in with his expertise as a Diplomat and told me to join forces with one of the many NGOs, IGOs, foundations, or UN agencies that already do amazing work on the ground. 🙏🏼 So that is how we started our own foundation and joined forces with this very first #PostForChange project. A way to bring the world of Influencers and international (aid-) organizations together and provide much needed awareness to a variety of causes by utilizing our online platforms and influence for something bigger than ourselves.
