This is 35,000 moringa seeds. One sack can plant an acre, start a nursery, press oil, and grow trees to sell every year. After 10 years of farming moringa here in Plant City, Florida, this is everything I've learned about the seed.
I started as an architect. Today I plant a full sack on one acre of my farm every April. In this video I walk you through the whole thing: what's inside a drumstick, cleaning and packaging a sack to sell, sprouting and planting, pressing oil with my custom auger hopper, turning wings into paper, and the real numbers behind all three seed businesses.
You don't need land or trees to start. A pot, some sun, and a handful of seeds is enough. Every moringa business starts with a seed.

THE NUMBERS FROM ONE $800 SACK (35,000 seeds, about 22 lb)
Seeds: 350 packs of 100 at $10 = $3,500, or 1,750 packs of 20 = $8,750
Oil: about 77 oz at a conservative 20% yield = $3,080 sold by the dram, or $1,925 by the ounce
Trees: a seed costs about 2 cents and becomes a $19.99 tree. My 30-day tree sale: 310 trees, $3,883 gross, $2,162 kept after ads, labor, soil, supplies and shipping.
These are my numbers before bags, labels and your time. Your results depend on your market and your work.
About the water experiment: crushed moringa seed clarifies cloudy water by settling the dirt out. It does not make water safe to drink on its own, so always boil or disinfect it.
