Track: 06 The Silent Treatment Album: INTERSECTIONS (2026) Artist: Silverline Road Genre: Late 80s Pop / Synth-Pop / Dark-Pop / Cinematic Art-Rock --- LYRICS: [Verse 1] The clock is ticking on the wall A hollow echo in the hall You’re sitting there, I’m standing here The atmosphere is cold and clear We’ve traded words for static haze In the labyrinth of these days [Chorus] It’s the silent treatment, loud and deep A promise that we couldn't keep The air is heavy, the embers glow With everything we'll never know A thousand screams behind the teeth Locked away and underneath The silence tells a better lie [Verse 2] I watch the tea turn cold and gray While all the reasons drift away Your eyes are fixed on something far A fading light, a dying star The space between us is a sea Where you are you, and I am me [Chorus] It’s the silent treatment, loud and deep A promise that we couldn't keep The air is heavy, the embers glow With everything we'll never know A thousand screams behind the teeth Locked away and underneath The silence tells a better lie [Outro] The silence tells a lie So loud So cold The silence --- ABOUT THE ALBUM: 'Intersections' is a 15-track concept album by Silverline Road exploring the delicate crossroads of human connection, isolation, and acceptance. Life is never a straight line; it is an intricate web of moments crossing, touching, and drifting apart. Moving through the cold glare of urban solitude, restless late-night highway drives, and melancholic guitar-driven soundscapes, the album bridges nostalgic late-80s synth-pop with cinematic art-rock. It stands as a testament to the beauty of imperfection—revealing that the fractures and broken lines are not flaws in the blueprint, but the very places where the light breaks through. In the end, it is this great unevenness that makes us human, and it is finally alright. --- #SilverlineRoad #Late80sPop #SynthPop #DarkPop #CinematicRock #ArtRock #Storyteller #SingerSongwriter #HighFidelity #NewMusic #Intersections
