DEAL WITH MURDER by Peter Cornish | BBC Radio Drama | THE PERFECT CRIME… THE WRONG WOMAN!

"A mysterious phone call. A family fortune. A shocking murder — and a woman who appears to have all the evidence against her. Deal with Murder by Peter Cornish is a classic BBC radio crime thriller, originally broadcast on 9 May 1964 as part of Saturday Night Theatre. Produced by Audrey Cameron, this gripping mystery draws you into a dangerous world of family resentment, betrayal, greed, and a seemingly perfect murder plot. Lynn Harker, a young portrait painter, receives a disturbing late-night phone call warning her that her life may be in danger. Soon afterwards, her wealthy and estranged aunt, Nina, summons her to Frimley Hall for what appears to be a chance at reconciliation. But the family reunion turns into a cruel trap. In front of a solicitor, Nina reveals that Lynn will be cut out of her inheritance. Furious and humiliated, Lynn leaves the house. Then a gunshot rings out — and Nina is found murdered. The evidence seems devastating. Lynn handled the revolver. Her fingerprints are on the weapon. She has a clear motive, and her movements offer no convincing alibi. But is she really a killer, or has someone carefully arranged the evidence to make her look guilty? Who wanted Nina dead? Why was Lynn summoned to Frimley Hall? And can the truth emerge before an innocent woman pays the price for a murder she may not have committed? Featuring Jane Wenham and a distinguished cast, Deal with Murder delivers the suspense, twists, and psychological intrigue that make classic British radio mysteries so compelling. 🎧 ABOUT THIS RADIO DRAMA Title: Deal with Murder Writer: Peter Cornish Producer: Audrey Cameron Genre: Crime Thriller, Murder Mystery, Classic Detective Drama If you enjoy classic BBC radio dramas, vintage British crime thrillers, psychological suspense, family secrets, and murder mysteries filled with unexpected twists, this is one to add to your listening list.
