A Mother Orangutan Leaves Her Son at the Nursery | Monkey Life Season 8 Episode 4

The primate care team is buzzing with excitement after dominant female Cherry takes a pregnancy test, leaving everyone wondering if the chimpanzee troop will soon have a new addition! Meanwhile, it’s an emotional day at the orangutan nursery as Shiao-quai makes the difficult decision to leave her 5-year-old son, Jin, behind to start his new life with apes his own age. Dr. Allison Cronin and Jeremy Keeling embark on a massive international rescue mission, driving across Europe to bring a 30-year-old, isolated macaque named Flo back to the sanctuary. Back at the park, the elderly laboratory macaques navigate their strict and brutal pecking order during a special low-calorie feeding, and the agile ring-tailed lemurs are forced to show off their tightrope balancing skills to earn a piece of melon! Monkey Life follows the work of Monkey World Ape Rescue Centre with nail-biting rescue and rehabilitation stories. Whilst there are primates in need, Dr. Alison Cronin, Jeremy Keeling and their dedicated team continue to fight the illegal trade in primates and give those rescued a safe haven for the rest of their lives.
