Originally created for a 7-track project produced by JamesJrOnTheBeat, the record almost disappeared before it ever had a chance to breathe—released, removed from all platforms, with no explanation. But that unexpected setback pushed CPx3 into a deeper self-examination, giving him the space to sharpen the edges of the song and build it into something more intentional, more focused, and more emotionally charged. “Distance” became not just a track, but a message—a warning, a confession, and a boundary drawn in steel. Written during a period of internal conflict, CPx3 confronts his evolving identity, unresolved trauma, loyalty, paranoia, and the reality of being misunderstood. The hook—“You should keep your distance from me”—isn’t just a catchphrase; it’s a protective layer around a man who’s seen too much, survived too much, and refuses to fold.
