FREE SPELLS OFF THE TOP! Fortune Teller's Talent Combo Deck — MTG Legacy | Magic: The Gathering

Bryant Cook plays Fortune Teller's Talent Combo in a Legacy League on Magic: The Gathering Online! These matches were played on: 10/19/26 ///// DECK DESCRIPTION ///// We are back with an updated look at Legacy Fortune Teller's Talent Combo! This Legacy Storm brew gains a huge boost in consistency with the addition of Giant's Boulder alongside Candy Trail. It has been about four months since our first run with Fortune Teller's Talent, an enchantment from Bloomburrow Commander that lets you look at the top card of your library at any time. Once you level it up for three and a blue, you can cast spells from the top of your library as long as you have already played a spell that turn, and reaching the third level makes spells you cast from anywhere other than your hand cost two generic mana less. Because the entire goal is chaining spells directly off the top of the library into a lethal Grapeshot, sculpting the top of the deck is everything. Candy Trail was the all-star the first time around since its third level cost reduction makes it free to cast while scrying two to clear away lands. Now we get to pair it with four copies of Giant's Boulder, giving the deck eight one-mana artifacts that scry two on entry and become free once Fortune Teller's Talent is fully leveled. Even though Giant's Boulder does not draw a card like Candy Trail, it filters mana to help cast Dragon's Rage Channeler, Enlightened Tutor, and the sideboard Haywire Mite. To make room for the four copies of Giant's Boulder, we trimmed the lone Chrome Mox, the single Conjurer's Bauble, and two copies of Urza's Bauble. With only 10 lands in the list alongside fast mana like Lion's Eye Diamond, Mox Opal, and Lotus Petal, the deck is built to keep the top of the library flowing once the engine gets going. In the sideboard, we also swapped out a second copy of Boomerang Basics for Static Prison, giving Enlightened Tutor a clean answer to problematic permanents alongside our Urza's Saga and Hexing Squelcher backup plan.
