I thought today would be the day I helped the Odiil brothers reclaim their family farm. Instead, fate—or perhaps the Divines themselves—had other plans. Time and again I watched one brother stand idle while the other was overwhelmed by goblins. No matter what I tried, I couldn't save them both. Whether it was bad luck or some strange curse upon the battle, I wasn't willing to let them die for my pride. I'll return when I'm stronger... and perhaps then I'll be able to change their fate. With no victory to claim, I continued my search for Nareth-Tide's artifact. My wandering led me to Fort Coldcorn, where I quickly dealt with the creatures lurking within. The fort yielded a handful of valuables, but no relic worthy of the Keeper of Oaths. By nightfall, I returned to town, sold what loot I could carry, and found a bed at the local inn. Every dead end is still a lesson, every forgotten ruin another piece of the puzzle. Tomorrow I'll set out once more.
