In January 2005, record-breaking cave diver Dave Shaw descended 270 meters into Boesmansgat, South Africa, to bring home the body of Deon Dreyer, a 20-year-old diver lost there ten years earlier. The camera on his helmet recorded everything that happened at the bottom, while his best friend Don Shirley fought for his own life on the way back up. This is the true story of what went wrong, and what deep divers learned from it.
